VOLUNTEER

JHA relies heavily on volunteerism to keep our club running strategically and efficiently. This allows us to keep our membership and show fees low. Our officers and board members are all volunteers with many hours put in behind the scenes to provide members and spectators with a safe, quality, and fun-filled equestrian events.

To be eligible for year-end awards, each rider is required to contribute six volunteer hours for the season. Friends and family ARE allowed to volunteer on behalf of competitors, however competing kids are strongly encouraged to volunteer doing age-appropriate tasks. There are a variety of volunteer needs throughout the season. There is a job to fit anyone, regardless of age, physical ability, or knowledge of horses and eventing. Below is a list of some of our most frequent needs. Additional needs occur throughout the season as special events, such as clinics, are offered.
